  2. Remembering that you are going to die is the best way I know to avoid the trap of thinking you have something to lose. You are already naked. There is no reason not to follow your heart. Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma — which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.

  10. Every year on 9-11, I’ve posted this pic. I took it before I left NYC back in 1995. NYC was never quite “my” city. I just lived there for a bit. Its one of only a handful of photos I still have of my short time there.

Say, what’s all this then? Why am I here? Checket.com officially moved to Tumblr today. Posterous may have a trick or two left up it’s sleeve but I got tired of waiting. So, Tumblr it is. To be clear, I am no hipster. I’m just looking for a more reliable and relatively enjoyable place to post a pic or two and a short blog post now and then.

From now on, checket.com redirects here full time. And maybe I’ll find the time to post a little more often.

I just bought some shares in an index fund that tracks the Wilshire 5000, which means I just bought shares in the 5000 largest American companies. I did this because I wished to take substantive action immediately upon learning of Standard & Poor’s downgrade of US credit. Standard & Poor’s, and to…
